Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use Janakulu (perdoor.janakulu.com). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

Who we are

Janakulu is a free community board for Perdoor, Udupi district, Karnataka, India, run by an individual. Contact: maheshkulal547@gmail.com.

Who can use it

• Anyone can browse without an account.
• To sign in, post or add a service you must be 18 or older.

What it costs

Posting and browsing are free. There are no listing fees, commissions or hidden charges.

Perdoor only: Janakulu is for Perdoor and nearby. Posts and services must be pinned on the map. Places within the Perdoor area are posted normally. Places further out (up to about 20 km) need a small one-time fee before they go live and are shown with their distance from Perdoor. Places further away cannot be posted.

How long a post stays: you choose 3, 7, 15 or 30 days when you post, free. You can extend a post once for free. After that, extra days cost a small price per day, which is shown before you pay.

Promotion (optional, paid): you can pay to show one of your posts or services at the top of lists and search results for a chosen number of days. The price of each pack is shown before you pay, and you pay it once. A promotion cannot last longer than the post itself: if it would, the extra days the post needs are added to the same payment as a separate, clearly shown charge. There is no subscription and no automatic renewal. Payments are processed by Razorpay. Promoted posts are always marked Sponsored. Promotion changes only where a post appears; it does not mean Janakulu checks or recommends the seller. The Refund Policy applies.

Banner ads

• Signed-in sellers can buy a Banner Ad on the Home or Services page for a chosen number of days. It links to their own post or service, or to a web link. Banner ads are always marked Ad.
• Every banner is checked by us before it goes live. We may refuse a banner, for example for misleading, offensive or copied pictures, or for unsafe links. A refused banner is refunded in full.
• The number of banners on each page is limited, so a slot may not always be free.
• You must own or have the right to use the picture, and the offer it shows must be true.

Your posts

• Post only things you own or may sell, and services you really offer. Information must be true and up to date.
• Use your own phone number. Do not post anyone else's personal details without their permission.
• You keep ownership of what you post. You allow Janakulu to show it on the site and in share links for as long as it is live.
• Photos must be your own or ones you have the right to use.

Not allowed

• Anything illegal in India, including weapons, drugs, alcohol or tobacco sales without a licence, stolen goods, wildlife or protected animals, fake or counterfeit products, medicines that need a prescription, and adult content.
• Fraud, spam, misleading prices, fake offers or fake reviews.
• Fake profiles or pretending to be someone else.
• Hate, harassment, threats, or content harmful to children.
• Content that infringes someone's copyright, trademark or privacy.
• Trying to break, overload or misuse the site or its data.

Deals are between you and the other person

Janakulu only helps people find each other. We are not a party to any sale, rental, ride or job. We do not handle money and cannot guarantee any item, price, person, timetable or service. Meet in a safe public place, check items before you pay, and never pay in advance to someone you do not know. Bus timings are for guidance only and may change.

Some posts marked Sample are examples that show how the site works. They are not real items or sellers.

Moderation

• Posts are shown for a limited time (30 days on the free plan) and are then hidden unless renewed.
• We may hide or delete any post, and block any account or phone number, that breaks these terms or is reported. Anyone can report a post or a profile. If you think we made a mistake, email us.
• A promoted post that breaks these terms can be removed like any other post. In that case the promotion is not refunded.
• Anyone can use the 🚩 Report button. Complaints go to our Grievance Officer at maheshkulal547@gmail.com. We acknowledge them within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.

Limits of our responsibility

The site is provided free and "as is". We do our best to keep it working and accurate, but we do not promise it will always be available or error free. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses from deals between users or from content posted by users.

Ending

You can stop using Janakulu and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Udupi, Karnataka have jurisdiction.

Changes

We may update these terms. The new version will appear here with a new date.
